Fox Foundation Celebrates Women's Day with Grant Awards to Inspiring Entrepreneurs

Nassau, Bahamas – March 21, 2024 – The Fox Foundation marked International Women's Day with a vibrant event that showcased and supported the prowess of female entrepreneurs in The Bahamas. The highlight of the day was the grant awards presented to three outstanding women, each of whom has made significant strides in their respective fields.

Held in the grand ballroom of the Atlantis Resort, the event was not just a celebration but a platform for real change, providing financial support and recognition to women who are innovators and leaders in their industries. The grants, aimed at empowering these entrepreneurs, will help expand their businesses and continue their positive impact in the community.

The winners of this year’s grants are:

  1. Rotalya Williams, founder of Island Soles, was awarded $25,000 for her innovative approach to merging traditional Bahamian craftsmanship with modern footwear fashion. Her project aims to position the Bahamas as a hub for high-quality, artisanal footwear.

  2. Alexia B. Rolle, the brain behind BrainChild, received $20,000 for her educational platform that supports parents and students in managing and excelling in their educational endeavors, particularly through customized guidance and coaching.

  3. Ms. Tylen Perpall, who leads initiatives in Construction, Design & Real Estate Investment, was granted $15,000. Her projects focus on sustainable building practices and developing affordable housing solutions that cater to the needs of Bahamians.
